Meet Dr. Janice Messier
Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Messier is a skilled vascular surgeon specializing in venous disease. She is board certified in general surgery, with additional board certification in vascular surgery. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Dr. Messier received her Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then completed her general surgery residency in Philadelphia at The Graduate Hospital.
It was during her General Surgery training that she became passionate about the subspecialty vascular surgery. Dr. Messier completed her vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Messier has been in private practice since 2001. She moved to Raleigh and founded Raleigh Vein and Laser Center in 2004. Dr. Messier is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, American Vein and Lymphatic Society, American College of Surgeons, North Carolina Medical Society, and Wake County Medical Society.
Dr. Messier has lived in the Raleigh-Durham area for over 20 years with her husband and son. She enjoys spending her free time reading, traveling with her family, and volunteering her time with her son’s Boy Scout troop.
